The Center for Analysis and Prediction of Storms is developing and
testing methods of numerical prediction of convective-scale weather
including a new prediction model that will allow detailed predictions

The Center for Biological Timing combines the efforts of investigators

Researchers at the Center for Discrete Mathematics and Theoretical
Computer Science (DIMACS) develop the mathematical principles
fundamental to computing and telecommunications, and solve problems in
areas ranging from airline scheduling to DNA sequencing; the term
"discrete" is used because the focus is on digital rather than analog
or "continuous" processes.

The Center for Engineering Plants for Resistance Against Pathogens

The Center for Particle Astrophysics attempts to elucidate the nature
of dark matter which, although not observed directly, is believed to
constitute more than 90 percent of the mass of the universe; solving

The Center for Quantized Electronic Structures has assembled an

physical phenomena and potential applications from microscopically
