Object Oriented Software Technology and Scientific Computing
Presented at the
1997 CRPC Annual Meeting
This talk will describe the role that object oriented software technology can play in high performance scientific computation. The presentation will have two parts. In the first segment we will illustrate some of the scientific applications that are currently being designed with Object Oriented methods at Los Alamos and Indiana. We will illustrate where the benefits of OO design play a role in the parallel programming process. Then in the second part of the talk we will summarize the current status of the HPC++ and Pooma software systems.
