CRPC-developed public domain software can be obtained directly from Netlib and Softlib. Send email to:

Netlib: netlib@ornl.gov. In the message body, type: send filename (i.e., "send index")

For Netlib, there is an improved system called XNetlib for people connected to the Internet who have access via an X-interface. To receive a copy, send email to netlib@ornl.gov and in the message type: send xnetlib.shar from xnetlib.

Netlib files are also available via anonymous rcp (from most UNIX boxes). For more information, finger anon@netlib2.cs.utk.edu. In addition, anonymous ftp can be used to retrieve Netlib and Softlib files. Ftp to ftp://netlib2.cs.utk.edu or ftp://softlib.rice.edu and login as anonymous. Use your complete email address as the password.

World Wide Web and Gopher Connections to Softlib, Netlib, and NSE

Softlib and Netlib can now be accessed through World Wide Web and gopher. The CRPC's gopher and World Wide Web servers provide access to the above public domain software files. In addition, the World Wide Web server provides electronic versions of the CRPC brochure, this newsletter, and several other informative documents on the CRPC. Furthermore, the National Software Exchange (NSE) can be accessed through the World Wide Web through the URL: http://www.netlib.org/nse/home.html.
