For parallel computing technology to be truly useful, hardware and software developments must be coupled with educational innovation. Through its educational outreach efforts, the Center for Research on Parallel Computation (CRPC) helps to train a new generation of scientists and engineers who are familiar with both scientific problem solving and parallel computation and encourages more students, particularly minorities and women, to enter educational programs in computational science and engineering.
