2pm - Richard Alo to speak on mentoring minorities from high school through graduate school. Dr. Alo will tell us about summer and academic year programs as well as research opportunities for minorities at his center.
3pm - Robert Coyne, Senior Technical Staff, IBM, to speak on the relationship between supercomputing centers and industry.
3:45pm - Tour of Duncan Hall, Keith Cooper
4 - 5pm - Tour of Rice University campus, Sue Hutchings and Scott Brashers
5pm - Bus leaves Rice University for the Hilton
6pm - Meet in hotel lobby to be transported to Vargo's for cocktails and dinner
During dinner, Richard Tapia to speak about how Supercomputing Centers can encourage underrepresented minorities to become involved in the computational sciences
