NEW SIAM BOOK SERIES FEATURES CRPC AUTHORS

"Software, Environments, and Tools," a new book series published by the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM), includes handbooks, software guides, and monographs on practical implementation of computational methods, environments, and tools.

Books in the series co-authored by CRPC researchers include the LINPACK Users' Guide (Jack Dongarra, University of Tennessee), Solving Linear Systems on Vector and Shared Memory Computers (Danny Sorensen, Rice University and Dongarra), the LAPACK Users' Guide, second edition (Chris Bischof, Argonne National Laboratory, Dongarra, and Sorensen), and Templates for the Solution of Linear Systems, Building Blocks for Iterative Methods (Dongarra). Other books in the series are The Science of Computer Benchmarking and Lectures on Finite Precision Computations.

SIAM has published seven other book series in the field of applied and computational mathematics, including "Classics in Applied Mathematics," "Frontiers in Applied Mathematics," "Studies in Applied Mathematics," "CBMS-NSF Regional Conference Series in Applied Mathematics," "Proceedings in Applied Mathematics," "ASA-SIAM Series on Statistics and Applied Probability," and "SIAM Monographs in Science and Engineering." In addition to these series, SIAM offers a collection of tutorials, handbooks, and textbooks.
