NHSE PUBLISHES NEW ONLINE REVIEW JOURNAL

The National HPCC Software Exchange (NHSE), an Internet-accessible distributed collection of software, documents, data, and information of interest to the high-performance computing community, will publish an online journal on the World Wide Web starting June 1996.

Entitled the NHSE Review, the quarterly publication will feature comparative review articles written by experts on particular HPCC application and technology areas. The premiere issue includes an article on cluster computing software and an overview of parallel computing technologies and vector supercomputers. The journal can be accessed at http://nhse.cs.rice.edu/NHSEreview/ . For more information, contact NHSE Review Web Editor Lowell W. Lutz at lwlutz@rice.edu .

The NHSE was initiated by the CRPC in November 1994 to facilitate the development of discipline-oriented software and document repositories, and to promote contributions and use via the World Wide Web. The system provides users with a central access point for HPCC technologies located around the nation. The NHSE seeks to actively promote software sharing and reuse within and across HPCC programs. The collection includes material from several components of the HPCC program, including the Advanced Software Technology and Algorithms (ASTA), High Performance Computing Systems (HPCS), and Information Infrastructure Technology Applications (IITA). For more information about the NHSE, see http://www.nhse.org/ .
