CRPC TO EXHIBIT LATEST RESEARCH DEVELOPMENTS AND PROGRAMS AT SUPERCOMPUTING '96

CRPC research, applications, knowledge transfer methods, and educational outreach programs will be represented with demonstrations, videos, handouts, and theater presentations at Supercomputing '96. The ninth annual high-performance computing and communications conference and exhibit will be held November 17-22 at the Pittsburgh Convention Center.

Visitors to the CRPC booth (#R60) will have the opportunity to learn about a wide variety of research projects, including ADIFOR 2.0, High Performance Fortran, High Performance Distributed Computing, the National HPCC Software Exchange, NetSolve, Parallel Direct Search, Problem-Solving Environments, Scalable I/O Integration, ScaLAPACK, and more.

Education project presentations include Education and Simulation; the GirlTECH Teacher Training Program; High Performance Computer Communications Technologies in K-12, Undergraduate, and Graduate Education; K-12 Lesson Plans on the Internet; and the PULSAR interface for disabled users (see "Syracuse Develops Computer Interfaces for Disabled Users", page 12). A daily schedule of demonstrations and theater presentations will be posted at the booth and on the CRPC Supercomputing '96 home page at http://www.crpc.rice.edu/CRPC/SC96 .

CRPC researchers will have a strong presence in the Supercomputing Technical Program, taking part in many tutorials, roundtables, and technical paper presentations. Several CRPC sites and affiliated sites, including Argonne National Laboratory, Boston University, Caltech, Los Alamos National Laboratory, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and the University of Illinois, will also host exhibits.
