Grid for Heliosphere Modeling

The code has been used to model the structure of the heliosphere as formed by the interaction of the supersonic solar wind plasma with the flowing interstellar medium. The model is axisymmetric and uses an r-theta grid with the grid spacing increasing with r.

The inner and outer grid are at constant radii. The supersonic solar wind plasma is injected at the inner grid radius at 40 AU. The local interstellar plasma and neutrals are injected from the right, parallel to the symmetry axis, flowing at 26 km/sec.
