The DAGH (Distributed Adaptive Grid Hierarchy) data management infrastructure for parallel adaptive mesh refinement techniques consists of two components:

1. A set of programming abstractions for dynamic hierarchical grid structures.
2. A set of distributed dynamic data-structures that supports the abstractions in parallel execution environments providing transparent distribution of the grid hierarchy across processing element execution environment.
