The first annual High Performance Fortran (HPF) User Group Meeting will
be held February 24 through 26, 1997 at the Eldorado Hotel in Santa Fe, New
Mexico. Through invited talks and a panel discussion moderated by CRPC Director Ken Kennedy, the
conference will provide an opportunity for current and potential HPF users
to share ideas and get up-to-date information about the language's
implementations and future directions. Sponsors to date include the CRPC, Los Alamos National Laboratory, Hewlett-Packard Convex, and the Portland Group (PGI).
Two pre-meeting tutorials scheduled for February 23 will cover the basics of programming in
HPF and introduce the recently finalized HPF version 2.0.
The registration deadline for the HPF User Group Meeting is January 24. For
complete details about registration, accommodations, abstract submission,
and conference events, see http://www.lanl.gov/HPF.
